Below the surface of narcissistic dance challenges seen on video sharing apps such as TikTok, a new language with its own vocabulary is beginning to take form. This language cannot be spoken but has the potential to convey meaning deeper than words alone can express.

 

Concerned with how the body intersects with language, Nina Davies (b. 1991, Canada) attempts to translate the conversations between these synchronized and isolated bodies. Conceived in 2019 – before the Covid19 pandemic, For Another Page explores these new languages as a way of expressing a loss of the physical shared experience and a search for togetherness.
